Eurocopter Canada delivers its first AS355 NP.

On July 14th, Eurocopter Canada delivered its first AS355 NP to the Canadian market. This new generation light twin engine helicopter benefits from proven technology and experience accumulated on the AS355 N Ecureuil/TwinStar series.

The new AS355 NP integrates major modifications that make it extremely attractive. The aircraft is equipped with two Turbomeca Arrius A1A engines and features improved OEI (One Engine Inoperative) performance for increased payload (+120 kg at ISA, SL) with a single engine. The integration of a new main gearbox increases the maximum take-off weight.

The AS355 NP is also equipped with a Vehicle Engine Management System (VEMD) which is already installed on the AS350. The VEMD offers ease-of-use for missions under both Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) and Visual Flight Rules (VFR).

Designed as a cost-effective entry product in the twin market, the AS355 NP is a high performance, multi-mission aircraft.
