Over 100 guests joined the Eurocopter Canada employees for this special event which was presided by Mr. Pierre MacDonald, Chairman of the Board for Eurocopter Canada and His Excellency Daniel Jouanneau, the French Ambassador for Canada.
The state-of-the art facility which will contribute to Ontario’s aerospace industry and manufacturing base has grown to 135,625 square feet and includes a new modern paint booth with baking capabilities, a new composite shop, a new Service Centre, an expanded blade repair shop, improved stores and shipping and receiving areas as well as new tooling with a second, larger autoclave.
The expansion will allow further development of the manufacturing of composite components for the worldwide fleet of helicopters and increase of our customer support for over 500 Eurocopter aircraft currently flying in Canadian skies.
The official ceremony of the new, larger logistic centre in Richmond BC is scheduled for September 2008.
