Job Description First Air, The Airline of the North, has been in operation for over 60 years and provides a combination of passenger and cargo air transportation services on a scheduled and charter basis. First Air’s scheduled service connects 25 remote, northern Arctic communities in Nunavut, Northwest Territories and the Yukon with southern hubs in Edmonton, Winnipeg, Ottawa and Montreal. Our fleet consists of the following: L382 Hercules, HS748, ATR42, B737 and B727.
We are currently looking for a Full Time Hercules Loadmaster at our Yellowknife, NWT location.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Include, but not limited to, the following minimum skills and qualifications:
• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent related work experience, preferably airline
experience
• Previous heavy equipment operation and heavy construction experience preferred
• Must be qualified in the acceptance and handling of dangerous goods
• Bilingualism will be considered an asset
• Must hold a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to obtain and retain a valid passport
• Must provide a medical certificate indicating the ability to perform physical labour related
duties (on request)
• Ability to accomplish multiple tasks in high pressure, high volume environment
• Demonstrated strong communication, organizational, problem solving & interpersonal skills
• Proven customer service skills
• Ability to obtain and retain a Restricted Area Identity Card in accordance with the Airport
Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada

Interested candidates must be able to perform, but not be limited to, the following duties and responsibilities:
• Required to be away from home for extended periods of time
• Responsibly use, maintain and control company equipment
• Responsible for compliance of all standards and regulations regarding the aircraft
• Provide excellent customer service internally and externally
• Responsibly maintain clean and orderly work areas
• Other duties as assigned
• This is a full time position required to support the additional heavy lift aircraft operation
