Father and Son Billed for Backcountry Rescue
Written by Drew McCarthy
A $2,500 fine is to be charged and then donated to the North Shore Search and Rescue to cover the amount the resort spent on personnel and equipment used in the search and rescue of a father and son. The two snowboarded out of bounds at Vancouver's Grouse Mountain ski area last weekend and are now being asked to pay for their rescue.

Check out the poll on the Helicopters homepage. It says 83% say they should have to pay!!

If it's obvious that they ignored the signs then they should be responsible for the costs.
