New aerospace firm sets up shop on Prince Edward Island

May 21, 2008, Charlottetown - A new aerospace firm is setting up shop in Charlottetown and expects to create up to 25 jobs within two years.

Action Aero is focusing on business and regional aircraft, and helicopter engine accessory repair and overhaul. The company is in the process of hiring employees.

Action Aero is receiving financial help to establish its Island-based business. The company is eligible to apply for existing tax credit programsthrough P.E.I. Business Development Inc., and the Island government is providing a secured loan of up to $350,000.

ACOA is also contributing a loan of up to $175,500 through its Business Development Program.
