Aeryon labs connects with Dejero on video breakthrough
May 7, 2015 By Aeryon
May 7, 2015, Atlanta, Ga. - Aeryon Labs Inc. and Dejero have announced a strategic technology partnership to enable secure, real-time distribution of HD video captured by Aeryon sUAS through the Dejero LIVE+ platform to allow remote, simultaneous, real-time access from any internet-connected or mobile device.
Remote access to live aerial imagery will result in more accurate and timely decision making in multiple industry sectors where Aeryon sUAS are already broadly deployed, including:
- Law
Enforcement, where police units undertaking hostage and interdiction
missions can provide remote, senior-level personnel with a unique
vantage point, to better plan, authorize, and safely respond; - Infrastructure
inspection, in industries such as oil & gas, petrochemical, and
power transmission, where inspectors can solicit opinions from off-site
experts in real-time, allowing them to better assess damage of
hard-to-reach assets and efficiently coordinate repair efforts; and - Emergency
First Response, allowing fire departments and disaster relief personnel
to determine the safest response strategy, when every minute counts.
“Since
introducing our first sUAS in 2009, we have developed unmatched
expertise in aerial image capture in the most demanding applications on
earth. Dejero brings a unique and complementary set of
operationally-proven capabilities to ensure that the video captured by
our UAS is presented to the right people, wherever they may be, without
compromising quality of the image or the timeliness of delivery,” said Dave Kroetsch, President and CEO of Aeryon Labs.
The
Aeryon SkyRanger is a small unmanned aerial system that is rugged and
dependable in demanding weather conditions when other systems cannot
fly. It offers long flight times of over 50 minutes, and its folding
design makes it highly portable and fast to deploy. Its intuitive
touch-screen interface simplifies navigation and camera operation.
Rather
than trusting a single wireless connection to stream video from the
Aeryon sUAS, Dejero’s patented technology intelligently bonds multiple
wireless connections (3G/4G/LTE, Wi-Fi, microwave, and satellite) to
minimize latency and deliver broadcast-quality live video – especially
from remote locations where traditional connectivity options may be
limited.
“We are excited to enter into this partnership with
Aeryon Labs. sUAS present the capability to capture video from vantage
points that are otherwise inaccessible, and the integration with
Dejero’s technology will help customers in multiple industries unlock
greater business value from UAS-based imagery,” said Brian Cram, CEO of Dejero.
A demonstration of the Aeryon and Dejero technology integration will be showcased at AUVSI’s Unmanned Systems 2015 in Atlanta GA from May 5-7. Visit the Aeryon Labs booth, number 2255.
