AFS to Display New AW139, Bell 430 Barrier Filters at 2009 Heli Expo

St. Louis, Mo., Feb. 17, 2009 – Aerospace Filtration Systems, Inc. (AFS) will display its new Inlet Barrier Filter (IBF) systems for the AgustaWestland AW139 and Bell 430 helicopters at the upcoming Heli-Expo in Anaheim, Calif. February 22-24, 2009.  In addition to these new IBF solutions from AFS, IBF kits for the AW109 Power and Grand, along with the legacy Bell 206LR, are in work at AFS.  Product presentations for all of these new solutions will be available for prospective customers; certification is expected shortly for the AW139 and Bell 430 and later in 2009 for the AW109 and Bell 206LR.
 
In light of the tough economic times, AFS is continuing its aggressive certification efforts in 2009 to provide additional engine protection solutions for rotorcraft operators.  “Now is the time when our customers need products that provide a relatively quick Return On Investment (ROI),” said AFS President Michael Scimone. “AFS is focusing on both new production and legacy helicopters where customer needs provide a compelling business case.  We are always open to listen to and evaluate our customers’ requests,” Scimone said.
 

In addition to these new systems, Aerospace Filtration System’s family of IBF systems for a wide variety of commercial helicopters will be on display.  AFS sales and engineering representatives will be available to discuss the IBF’s with attendees at Booth 3947 during the show.  “Our goal at HAI’s Heli-Expo is to engage with our customers on all levels,” said AFS Business Development Director Robert Stenberg. "We hope to answer all questions presented on site, especially on a technical basis, and we will have two of our engineering managers on site at Heli-Expo along with our in-house sales staff.”
