SKYTRAC signed a long-term agreement with Airbus Helicopters Inc. that will enable customers to select SKYTRAC avionics on newly purchased helicopters including Airbus H145, H160, H175 and H225 models.

“SKYTRAC and Airbus Helicopters have a longstanding history, and we are excited to formalize our latest partnership,” said Jan van der Heul, Vice President of Sales, SKYTRAC, in a statement. “Airbus Helicopter customers can expect highly reliable and resilient avionics for a variety of mission-critical operations in EMS, Law Enforcement, Offshore Oil and Gas, and VIP transport, and we are proud to extend our suite of products to those looking to enable legacy Iridium services such as flight following and to introduce the new Iridium Certus broadband terminals such as the flagship SDL-350.”

The partnership will provide Airbus customers with the option to select Iridium-based Satcom systems such as the SDL-350, ISAT-200A, cockpit dialers and displays including the MTC-100, as well as a host of value-added mission-critical capabilities including automated flight following, helicopter flight data monitoring (HFDM), satellite Push-to-Talk (PPT), and text communications for specific operator profiles with the purchase of their aircraft.
