New training deal for FlightSafety International

These new advanced technology flight training devices will be used by the United States Air Force during training of Special Command Forces personnel.

“This contract is another example of the cooperative effort between FlightSafety and Bell Helicopter to provide simulators of the highest  quality for use in aircrew training and mission rehearsal around the world,” said Bruce Whitman, President & CEO.

FlightSafety will have built a total of 13 V-22 full flight simulators and advanced flight training devices for Bell Helicopter once these new devices are completed.

The simulators will be equipped with FlightSafety’s newly enhanced VITAL X Visual System. The system features continuous global satellite  high-resolution imagery achieving exceptional realism with tens of thousands of processed elements and millions of features integrated into animated scenes of the real world.

These CV-22 training devices will be completed at FlightSafety’s new simulator design, manufacturing and technology integration facility in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Construction of the new state of the art facility is scheduled to be completed this summer.

FlightSafety has produced a wide range of flight simulators and advanced training devices for helicopters manufactured by Bell, Eurocopter and Sikorsky. They include the Bell B-412/212/222, B-430, CH-146, OH-58D, TH-67, TH-1H, CH-47F, AH-1Z, UH-1Y, UH-1N, and CV-22/MV-22; Eurocopter EC-135 and the Sikorsky UH-60 A/L/M models, HH-60G, S-92, S-70 and S-76 aircraft.

FlightSafety International has recently designed, manufactured, and delivered four new flight simulators.

FlightSafety has delivered its ninth Bombardier Q400 aircraft full flight simulator. This advanced technology device has been installed at  the company’s Learning Center in Tokyo, Japan and is expected to receive Level D qualification from the Japanese Civil Aviation Bureau in July 2011.

Azul Brazilian Airlines has taken delivery of its second Embraer 190 full flight simulator from FlightSafety. The simulator has been installed at Azul’s Sao Paulo training facility in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The airline’s first FlightSafety Embraer 190 full flight simulator received Level D qualification from the ANAC, Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency, in June 2009.

The simulators are equipped with FlightSafety’s industry leading electric motion and control loading technology and advanced VITAL X visual system.

The United States Army’s Flight School XXI Warrior Hall training facility in Daleville, Alabama, has taken delivery of two new Bell TH-67  flight training devices manufactured by FlightSafety. These latest devices are the first two of four new TH-67 simulators to be delivered  since FlightSafety designed and manufactured the initial 20 trainers for the facility. The new devices include three Instrument Flight Trainers (IFT) and one Operational Flight Trainer (OFT) that will feature FlightSafety’s latest computational technology, including SimPWR and SimIO.
