Sept. 1, 2011, Grand Prairie, Tx. - American Eurocopter has announced that it has strengthened its sales and marketing teams with seasoned industry veterans and strategic additions.

They are our customers’ direct contact to American Eurocopter,” explained American Eurocopter Vice President of Sales, Treg Manning. “Our goal is to have the talent in place that enables us to be a valued resource to our customers and to provide them with the best business solutions.”
The newest members of American Eurocopter’s Regional Marketing Team are Kris DeSoto and Glenn Murray. “We are excited to have Kris and Glenn join the team. They bring tremendous experience to our organization and will help us enhance our coverage of the United States in order to provide vital customer interface.”
DeSoto, Regional Marketing Manager for the Northeast region, brings five years of sales experience in the aerospace industry and eight years of experience in new business development in the United States, Latin America and Australia. Prior to his position with American Eurocopter, he was a Regional Sales Manager for Latin America and was most recently the President of a land development and investment company in Mexico. DeSoto earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Management and Marketing from University of Texas at Arlington and his Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Small Business Management from Southern Methodist University.
Before arriving at American Eurocopter as the Regional Marketing Manager for the Midwest region, Murray experienced success in the aviation industry as a Regional Sales Manager in the Asia/Pacific region, as well as managing a commercial helicopter program with the Pakistan Army. He is a retired U.S. Marine Corps attack helicopter pilot and commanding officer. Murray has a Bachelor of Science in Applied Science from the United States Naval Academy and a Master of Business Administration from Texas Christian University.
In addition to the Regional Marketing Managers, American Eurocopter’s marketing team also includes vital members that provide industry specific support to both the company and the customers in these industries. These members make up the specialized market segment teams that focus on the expanding helicopter base in the United States and the growth potential in key market segments. To support these key market segments, American Eurocopter recently added Don Baenen as Director, Oil & Gas Marketing and Patrice Royer as Director, Business & Private Aviation.
Baenen has significant industry experience with the Oil & Gas industry, having most recently been a Global Aviation Specialist with BHP Billiton Minerals Exploration. He previously served as Aviation Logistics Coordinator with BHP Billiton Petroleum (Americas), Inc. and was formerly Chief Pilot and Flight Safety/QA Advisor with Era Helicopters. Baenen served with the U.S. Army as a UH-60 Black Hawk pilot-in-command, Aviation Safety Officer and Master Army Aviator. He is a licensed Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) and has over 10,000 flight hours, including time in the BO105, B205/212/412 and S-76.
Royer comes from Eurocopter where he was the global Director of Market Development for the Business Aviation, Private and Commercial segment. His development and worldwide industry expertise will help us focus our efforts and expand the Eurocopter fleet in this segment.
