Babcock Canada and Leonardo Canada signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to create a Canadian joint venture and pursue Canada’s Future Aircrew Training Program (FAcT).
This partnership ensures that the FAcT program will benefit from their military training, each of which have over 70 years of aircrew training experience delivered around the world.
Babcock and Leonardo offer a modern and comprehensive solution drawing on their long experience as leading providers of fixed-wing, rotary-wing and mission training services. The companies stand ready to offer a comprehensive turnkey solution to meet all of the Royal Canadian Air Force’s training requirements.
Leonardo’s training sector can cover the entire pilot training syllabus with a range allowing the training syllabus to be tailored to air force requirements. A complete Ground Based Training System (GBTS), promises to ensure both high quality training and strong operating efficiency. With a long heritage and its expertise in military pilot training, Leonardo has built about 2,000 trainers that have been sold to more than 40 countries.
Babcock offers technical instruction across multiple locations and aircraft types, from providing technical training instruction, developing training materials or maintaining critical training assets.
