Bell Helicopter announces new director, international trade support

April 8, 2013, Fort Worth, Tx. - Bell Helicopter announced today that Sameer Rehman will assume the role of director, International Trade Support for Commercial Sales and Marketing. In this newly created position, Rehman will assist with the expansion of Bell Helicopter's globalization strategy.


In his new role, Rehman will develop localized solutions and frameworks for direct wins in international markets. Interfacing between the global sales and marketing and customer support and service teams, Rehman will assist with the development of sales initiatives, support packages and deliveries.

"Sameer's successful background in aerospace as well as sales and marketing have prepared him well for his new role," said Danny Maldonado, Bell Helicopter's executive vice president of Sales and Marketing. "Bell Helicopter is intensifying our efforts to grow our commercial business in 2013. Part of that strategy involves developing our current talent into new roles and strengthening our leadership team."

Rehman joined Textron in 1999, holding leadership positions at both Cessna Aircraft Company and Textron Financial, while most recently serving as the managing director for Bell Helicopter's commercial business in Asia Pacific. He holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Aerospace Engineering from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University as well as a Master of Business Administration degree from Wichita State University.
