Canadian Women in Aviation conference announced

March 27, 2013  By Carey Fredericks

March 27, 2013, Toronto - Every two years women from all areas of aviation come together with experts, specialists and role models at the Canadian Women in Aviation Conference. Participants can expect speakers and panel discussions to enhance their knowledge of aviation and also prepare to succeed at their careers. This is an excellent opportunity for valuable networking, renew old friendships and create new ones.

Prepare to be equipped with the tools for success in your career
aspirations. Attending this conference will provide key resources to
give you command over your professional career in this industry. Why
the Canadian Women in Aviation Conference? Traditionally women have
comprised less then 5% of Canada’s aviation workforce. The Canadian
Women in Aviation conference was developed to bring these women together
as a network of support. To provide a friendly environment where women
who have made it to the top of their careers are eager to share their
experiences with women who are looking to follow their path, whether it
be in the military or in the civilian aviation industry. Learn from the
knowledge these pioneers have gained, you will be inspired by their
stories.

In addition to supporting those already in the industry, the Canadian
Women in Aviation Conference also encourages more young women to pursue
aviation related careers. Therefore, a scholarship for student
registration is being offered for an Aviation College / University
student or Air Cadet to attend the 2013 conference sessions and
activities. The scholarship application is available on the CWIA
website.

Join participants from all facets of the industry including Canadian
Forces, NavCanada, Transport Canada, Airlines, Manufacturers,
Transportation Safety Board, Airport Operators, General Aviation and
many others at the 12th Biennial CWIA Conference June 19 – 22 at the
Novotel Toronto Mississauga Centre. Planned speakers will inspire,
motivate, educate and entertain you, thereby ultimately preparing you to
reach your aviation goals. There will also be many networking
opportunities during social activities and aviation tours. A Gala dinner
will conclude the event.
