CAE’s Parent to speak at Canadian Aerospace Summit

The Aerospace Industries of Canada (AIAC) has announced that Marc Parent, president and CEO of global simulation and training leader CAE, will speak at the 2017 Canadian Aerospace Summit.


Parent has more than 30 years of experience in the aerospace industry. He started his career in 1984 with Canadair as an engineer on the Challenger and Canadair regional jet programs. He held positions of increasing scope in aircraft product development, on the Challenger 604 and the Q400 turboprop aircraft for Bombardier.

Parent joined CAE in February 2005 as Group President, Simulation Products, responsible for the company’s civil simulation products business as well as the design, manufacture and support of products for the company’s civil and military training businesses. He was appointed president and chief executive officer of CAE in August 2009.

Parent joins Airbus Defence & Space’s CEO Dirk Hoke as one of the Summit’s super session speakers. More speakers will be announced soon.
