Canada’s Aviation Hall of Fame has decided to cancel its 2021 Induction Ceremony and Gala Dinner, which was scheduled to take place June 3, 2021, at Sunwest Aviation in Calgary, Alberta. This is this second induction celebration to be cancelled since the beginning of the pandemic.

Inductees of the most recent 2020 program year include: Joe Randell, president and CEO, Chorus Aviation Inc.; Clifford McEwen, WWI fighter ace and Air Vice-Marshal, Royal Canadian Air Force; Shirley Render, one of Canada’s foremost aviation historians; and Bjarni Tryggvason, former NRC/CSA astronaut. The Red Knight also received the 2020 Belt of Orion Award for Excellence.

Canada’s Aviation Hall of Fame (CAHF) says it is confident and optimistic that 2022 will be the year in which it can host an in-person gala ceremony.
