Charette becomes president of Airbus Helicopters Canada

(Photo: Brian McNair) Dwayne Charette has been appointed president of Airbus Helicopters Canada Limited, in addition to his role as chief operating officer. He succeeds Romain Trapp, who has assumed the role of president of Airbus Helicopters Inc. and head of the North America Region for company’s helicopters segment.
“We have a very strong team in place for Airbus Helicopters Canada – one that positions the company for an exciting next chapter,” said Ben Bridge, executive VP of global business for Airbus Helicopters. “In a year when Airbus Helicopters is celebrating 35 years of being an integral part of the Canadian aerospace industry, Dwayne possesses the experience and strategic agility necessary to lead the company toward continued growth and success in Canada.”
Trapp named president of Airbus Helicopters, head of North America
Charette has worked for Airbus’ Canadian helicopter division for 16 years, holding a range of positions, including director of global supply chain and manufacturing, as well as nead of North America regionalization for Airbus’ helicopter division.
“During the past six years I have had the pleasure of experiencing firsthand Dwayne’s impressive track record and innovative vision for our organization,” said Trapp, who became president of Airbus Helicopters Canada in 2013. “Dwayne’s background in the helicopter industry, along with his strong customer focus, makes him the ideal candidate to assume leadership of this world-class organization and to advance Airbus Helicopters Canada successfully into the future.”
Charette is a graduate of The Ivey Executive Program at Western University and holds the professional designation of Certified Supply Chain Management (CSCMP).
