Cougar helicopter aborts takeoff after engine failure

May 7, 2015, St. John's - A Cougar helicopter taking eight oil workers offshore from St. John's had to abort a takeoff earlier this week after an engine failure.
On Monday, the flight for Husky Energy had been cleared for takeoff,
but shortly afterwards the pilot reported an engine failure.
The offshore petroleum board said the chopper was hovering about
three metres off the runway at the time, but was able to land safely. | READ MORE
