Curtiss-Wright Controls win supplier awards

March 23, 2010, Charlotte, NC - Curtiss-Wright Controls, Inc. announced today that its Integrated Sensing division's Avionics & Electronics and Penny + Giles Avionics business groups have been individually named recipients of the 2009 Sikorsky Top 100 Supplier Award in recognition of their superior supplier performance.


The Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation issues the award annually to an elite select of its over 650 different vendors.

"Curtiss-Wright's long, successful partnership with Sikorsky is one of continued performance excellence," said David Adams, co-chief operating officer of Curtiss-Wright Corporation. "It is an honor to be recognized by Sikorsky for our dedication to the highest standards of production and reliability, and I am pleased to share this award with all of our employees who strive daily to exceed our customers' expectations."

Curtiss-Wright Controls Integrated Sensing's Avionics & Electronics business group, located in the City of Industry, California, is recognized in the development and production of high-performance aircraft control electronics consisting of aircraft computer systems, data concentrators, utility management, ice protection and fire detection systems.

The Penny + Giles Avionics business group, located in Christchurch, Dorset, UK, supplies Flight Recorders, Air Data Computers and Ice and Snow Detection Systems to Sikorsky on multiple Commercial and Military helicopters.
