DART announces certification of run-on landing wearplates

March 20, 2012  By Carey Fredericks

March 20, 2012, Oceanside, Ca. - DART Helicopter Services (DHS) is pleased to announce Transport Canada, FAA and EASA approval of DART Aerospace Ltd.’s (DAS) Run-on Landing Wearplates for Bell 205/210/212/214/412 and UH-1H series of aircraft.

DAS Run-on Landing Wearplates feature an easy thru-bolt installation which makes installation or replacement quick and easy, eliminates clamps over the skidtube and prevents the wearplate from rotating on the skidtube.  The DAS Run-on Landing Wearplates come in two pieces which are individually replaceable and the wearplates are LH/RH interchangeable which reduces spares inventory.  Skidtubes are available with run-on landing wearplates installed direct from the factory, eliminating the need to source from several vendors and the additional costs for separate shipping and on-site installation.  The DAS Run-on Landing Wearplates are constructed of corrosion resistant stainless steel and feature a full length stainless steel bar wear with areas of generously overlaid highly wear resistant tungsten carbide and a corrosion resistant compound between the skidtube and wearplate (no gaskets or sealant required).

Product features:
    •    Improved wear resistance
    •    Easy & quick to install & remove with an innovative thru bolt design
    •    Installs with gasket (no messy sealant)
    •    Corrosion resistant
    •    Ideal for training operations

“DAS Round-I-Beam™ Skidtubes are inherently extremely durable with respect to denting and bending.  With the addition of run-on landing wearplates, DAS now has the ideal solution for the most harsh skidtube environment.”  Quote, Bill Beckett, VP Canadian Operations, Dart Aerospace Ltd. (DAS)
