Devastating fire leaves CHL employee homeless

Dec. 13, 2011, Sept. Illes, Que. - Christmas is a time for giving to those in need and Canadian Helicopters Ltd. is doing just that to help one of its own.
On Friday morning, Dec. 2, a fire destroyed the home of Stephanie Bernier, Canadian Helicopters’ assistant base coordinator-Sept. Iles, Que.
It left Bernier, her three-year-old twins and 8-year-old, homeless. Fortunately, the home was insured, but her situation during the holiday season is anything but ideal.
Local CHL staff have reached out to help the family and have set up a fund at CIBC to facilitate donations from CHL staff across the country. Anyone can donate to the fund by going to a CIBC branch. All funds received will go directly to the Bernier family.
