Durham police warn public about laser strikes on helicopters
May 8, 2015 By Durhamregion.com
May 8, 2015, Oshawa, Ont. - It sounds like a problem out of a sci-fi movie, but Durham Regional Police are warning the public about the dangers of hitting their aircraft with laser beams.
Police said there were two incidents involving lasers being pointed at their aircraft in the past month.

helicopter cockpit was flooded by green light as it flew over the
Bowmanville area. Crew members usually wear protective glasses when
flying, but the beam struck one officer before putting them on, police
said. | READ MORE
