Pratt & Whitney Canada signs long-term FMP® Program agreement with customer Air Methods

HELI-EXPO – ANAHEIM, Calif., Feb. 22, 2009 – Pratt & Whitney Canada signed a Fleet Management Program agreement with Air Methods Corporation of Englewood, Colo., to provide engine support for Air Method’s growing fleet of helicopters used for emergency air medical transportation services.  Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) is a United Technologies (NYSE:UTX) company. 

The Turboshaft Flex FMP® program agreement covers approximately 125 PW200 series engines, plus spares, installed on Air Methods’ fleet of Eurocopter EC135, Agusta A109 Power and Bell 429 helicopters for an approximate period of two full overhaul events. P&WC engines covered include PW206B, PW206B2, PW206C and PW207D1 models.
