March 9, 2023  By Helicopters Staff

Enstrom Helicopter announced the sale of 12 helicopters at the HAI Heli-Expo 2023 in Atlanta.

In addition to a new glass panel system available on both the 480B and 280FX models, Enstrom helicopters will also be equipped with a brand-new interior, as well as having a paint scheme by the renowned artist Dean Loucks.

”I’ve meet with many people this week who have come to our booth expressing interest in our aircraft and even more who have said how happy they are to see that Enstrom’s back and how excited they are that we’re manufacturing helicopters again,” said Chuck Surack, owner of Enstrom.

Enstrom Helicopter based in Menominee, Michigan, on January 30 announced it completed the first flight of its 480B helicopter, after reopening eight months ago. Wholly owned by Surack Enterprises, Enstrom over more than 60 years has manufactured more than 1,300 aircraft operated in 50-plus countries.

The turbine-powered 480B is the 1,317th Enstrom helicopter built, and the 255th 480 series helicopter. Enstrom notes the aircraft was not completed from an unfinished or left-over airframe, but was instead built using components procured, machined, fabricated, and assembled onsite.
