Eve to list on NYSE after SPAC merger, receives eVTOL orders

Eve Urban Air Mobility, which is developing the Eve eVTOL aircraft with the primary backing of Embraer, reached what it describes as a definitive business combination agreement with Zanite Acquisition Corp, a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC).

After the transaction is complete, Zanite will change its name to Eve Holding Inc. and be listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the new ticker symbols of EVEX.

Embraer S.A., through its subsidiary Embraer Aircraft Holding Inc., will remain as a majority stockholder with an approximately 82 per cent equity stake in Eve Holding following the closing of the business combination.

In addition to this business combination agreement with Zanite, EVE announced five new agreements, including a collaboration between Embraer and BAE Systems to explore potential defense variants for the Eve eVTOL aircraft.

Eve also reached a deal with SkyWest to with the goal to develop a regional operator network with an order for 100 eVTOL aircraft. As well, Eve and Azorra signed a partnership with order for 200 eVTOLs, while Republic Airways placed an order for up to 200 eVTOL aircraft.
