Father and Son Billed for Backcountry Rescue

January 7, 2008  By Drew McCarthy

Should they be forced to pay the price?

A $2,500 fine is to be charged and then donated to the North Shore Search and Rescue to cover the amount the resort spent on personnel and equipment used in the search and rescue of a father and son. The two snowboarded out of bounds at
Vancouver's Grouse Mountain ski area last weekend and are now being asked to pay for their rescue.
