P&WC increases time between overhauls for PW210 family
Pratt & Whitney Canada has announced that it has extended the basic time between overhaul (TBO) for its PW210 turboshaft engines from 3,500 to 4,000 hours. This will increase time-on-wing and reduce maintenance costs by over 10 percent for operators. The extension applies to all PW210 engines currently in service and those to be produced in the future. | READ MORE

LPR expands H135P3 fleet

Annual Honeywell report paints a cautious industry outlook
In the face of a slower global economic growth environment and increased volatility in oil and gas-related markets, the helicopter industry is reacting with a cautious outlook for near-term new purchases. In its 18th annual Turbine-Powered Civil Helicopter Purchase Outlook, Honeywell forecasts 4,300 to 4,800 civilian-use helicopters will be delivered from 2016 to 2020, roughly 400 helicopters lower than the 2015 five-year forecast. | READ MORE

Enstrom issues update on TH180 incident

On February 12th, Enstrom Helicopter N180TH, the prototype TH-180 experienced a mechanical problem and made a forced landing.
