helilynx_csrsFeb. 18 2009; Stoney Creek, Ont. – Heli-Lynx Helicopters is pleased to announce the creation of its new Customer Service Department, headed up by former Abitibi Helicopters director of maintenance, Hoss Golanbari.

“Our customers have always been our focus,” said Heli-Lynx president and CEO Mike Whitter, “but as our business expanded, it became harder for our regular personnel to handle the volume of sales and technical support calls we received. But, we didn’t want to just staff a call centre, we wanted to put in place an actual team of experts who would understand and capably respond to the needs of our customer base. To our good fortune, we were able to bring on board someone who not only understands the needs of the small and medium-sized operators we focus on, but who understands helicopters — ours in particular.”

Prior to joining Heli-Lynx last year as general manager, Golanbari spent the last four at Abitibi Helicopters in Alberta. Abitibi, interestingly enough, is the company’s largest customer, owning 11 350FXes, and having a 12th on order. As such, Golanbari became intimately familiar with the FX Series product and its needs, and can anticipate what other customers will encounter and require.

Said Golanbari, “Right now, we’ve added two CSRs to handle the volume of calls we receive. Each is personally assigned to a specific customer, so they become familiar with that operator’s needs and requirements. In this way, we believe we can maximize the level and efficiency of service we provide.”

Said long-time customer Ross Scott of Sunshine Helicopters, “Heli-Lynx has always been there for us when we needed them. The creation of this department, to ensure they can maintain that level and quality of service, and not forget about the little guy as they [Heli-Lynx] get bigger, is exactly the kind of thing we hoped for.”

In addition to the dedicated customer service team, Golanbari said Heli-Lynx also now has a pool of exchange parts and components, and is working on agreements with other MROs to support the current FX fleet.
