Hillsboro Aviation purchases AS350 B3e

March 4, 2015, Orlando, Fla. - Hillsboro Aviation Inc. has purchased its first new Airbus Helicopters aircraft and has signed an option agreement with Airbus Helicopters Inc. enabling it to purchase up to five more. Hillsboro has already taken delivery of its first aircraft, an industry leading AS350 B3e AStar.


In business since 1980, Hillsboro Aviation, is headquartered in Hillsboro, Ore. and has a strong track record of success in operations and services. The company's operations include helicopter and airplane charter services, aircraft sales, maintenance, avionics services and parts sales.

Hillsboro plans to introduce the AS350 B3e into its contract and charter services fleet early this spring. The AStar will be put to work in a variety of utility roles, including firefighting missions for the U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management.
