July 8, 2014, Marignane, Fra. - The first Level D full-flight simulator for Airbus Helicopters’ EC175 rotorcraft has received airworthiness certification from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), enabling launch pilots to be trained with this high-fidelity system.
July 4, 2014, Ottawa - Transport Canada has given its seal of approval to Pratt & Whitney Canada’s new PW206B3 engine, selected to power the new Airbus Helicopters EC135P3 light, multipurpose twin-engine helicopter. The updated EC135P3, announced at Heli-Expo 2013, is scheduled to enter service in the first quarter of 2015.

The feature, which allows users to view time critical aeronautical information within the same system they use to monitor other flight data, is available for use by SkyWeb customers.

March 28, 2014, Kelowna, B.C. - Recent media focus on aircraft tracking technology underscores significant gaps in traditional approaches (radar, transponder, Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B), and radio communication). These technologies, or combinations of them, are typically used by the scheduled commercial air transport sector. The gaps are particularly relevant when tracking aircraft in remote areas where traditional tracking infrastructure can be limited, for instance outside radar coverage.
