Learning to fly a helicopter?

A few months ago my husband and I were in Alaska and we took a
helicopter tour and OMG it was the thrill of my life. I have not been
able to stop thinking about that helicopter every since.
I really would love to learn to fly but not sure what I'd be getting
myself into, I have the time just not sure if it is an extremely
difficult think to learn or not. Any advice or direction you could
offer would be greatly appreciated.
I live in Toronto close to the Island airport.
