London Air Services has ordered a third AW139 Agusta Westland for their transport operations in North America.

London Air Services has ordered a third AW139 Agusta
Westland for their transport operations in North America. London Air Services began
flying its first AW139 in the spring of 2006 and its second will be delivered
late in late 2007. The three AW139 helicopters join the Canadian company’s
fleet of luxury Challenger 604s, and Lear 45XR jets.

This third AW139 purchase will be London Air Services’ 11th
aircraft acquisition.  The AW139s will make regular trips to Sonora Resort, a luxury
resort on the coast of British Columbia, as well as charter trips for LAS’ existing clientele which includes
various business and entertainment clients.  LAS charter aircraft services will continue to grow in anticipation
of the 2010 Winter Olympics.

“With
the delivery of our third AW139, LAS will be the only local commercial
operator able to service the 2010 games with the all-weather capability, which is vital in the mountainous
terrain and winter weather conditions,” said Powell.

The second AW139 for London Air Services is being assembled
in Italy while the third helicopter will be produced at AgustaWestland’s new hightech
production facility in Philadelphia. London Air Services flight crews and maintenance
technicians will receive training at AgustaWestland’s Philadelphia facility
using a new Cockpit Procedures Trainer and AW139 Flight Simulator that is certified to FAA Level
‘D’ standards. London Air Services has signed a
contract for a third AgustaWestland AW139 helicopter.
