MAGnificent receives STC validation in Canada

September 28, 2015  By Mecaer Aviation Group

The Mecaer Aviation Group (MAG) has announced it has successfully validated its luxury interior for the Bell 429 with Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA).

MAG developed and branded the MAGnificent for the Bell 429 under an EASA STC in May 2015. Since then, MAG has applied for various validations around the globe.  These certifications were initially planned for by the group, however they also follow the industry demand for the VVIP interior.

MAG has maintained flexibility for VVIP passengers and provides multiple options and configurations for the MAGnificent.  Customers can choose from four, five or six-seat layouts with options for up to two centre consoles, MAG’s proprietary I-FEEL (In-Flight Entertainment Enhanced Lounge) and passenger controlled Electro-Chromic Windows.

The interior includes two of MAG’s proprietary technologies. The “SILENS” noise canceling system has successfully reduced the cabin noise to a level where normal conversation can be conducted between passengers without headsets. MAG’s I-FEEL technology provides passengers with moving jet maps and audio/video entertainment, along with internal Wi-Fi interface to personal smart devices.

“The MAGnificent continues to gain momentum around the world and the validation with the TCCA marks a key milestone for the program,” said Armando Sassoli, Co-General Manager of Mecaer Aviation Group. “We will continue to validate our STC and anticipate two additional certifications before the end of this year.”
