Military heli to join search for missing man

June 18, 2009, Picton, Ont. – A helicopter from CFB Trenton has joined provincial police in the search for a missing elderly man in the Picton, Ont., area.

Ralph Pickering, 82, was last seen on Tuesday afternoon leaving his home (on Lake St.) for a walk.
Police say Pickering is an avid walker and physically fit, but may have become disoriented.

He is six-feet tall, with a slight build, white hair and a moustache.

A Griffon chopper left the military base to join the search shortly after 5:30 a.m.  (CJOJ)
