Heli-One to provide MRO services for aircraft in Korea

April 7, 2015, Delta, B.C. - Customers flying commercial and governmental helicopters in the Republic of Korea now have access to extensive maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) service capabilities from Heli-One’s operations in Canada.


Heli-One Boundary Bay has earned certification for aircraft maintenance operations (AMO) from the Korean Office of Civil Aviation (KOCA), joining the company’s base in Stavanger, Norway, in receiving the Korea AMO endorsement.

The Boundary Bay facility was recently audited by KOCA and received AMO approval for the following aircraft and engine models:
• Bell 212 and 412
• AgustaWestland AW139
• Sikorsky S-61 and S-76 series
• GE’s CT-58 series, and
• Pratt &Whitney’s PT6 series

“The Republic of Korea has an active helicopter-aviation industry with operators that cover a wide variety of missions, including firefighting, transportation, emergency-medical services, search and rescue, and other governmental operations,” said Anthony DiNota, President, Heli-One.

“We have extensive global experience supporting government aircraft, offshore fleets, and SAR and EMS helicopters, and so can provide customers in the Republic of Korea with exceptional MRO services that enable them to go further, do more and come home safely.”
