Hunt named new CEO at AgustaWestland Philly site

Feb. 6, 2013, Philadelphia, Pa. - AgustaWestland is pleased to announce that William Hunt has been appointed as the new chief executive officer of AgustaWestland Philadelphia Corporation.


He will oversee the company's business operations from its headquarters in Philadelphia, Penn. AgustaWestland Philadelphia Corporation is a division of AgustaWestland.

The Philadelphia plant houses a state-of-the-art production facility for the AW139 and AW119Kx helicopters.  In 2012, this production facility produced and delivered 54 helicopters, and it currently employs over 500 people. In addition to Production Operations, the Philadelphia headquarters serves as base operations for Customer Support & Services, Training, Procurement and the North American Commercial Business Unit.

Hunt joined AgustaWestland Philadelphia in 2006 as vice president of Production Operations.  In 2010 he was named executive vice president. Prior to joining AgustaWestland Philadelphia, Hunt spent 21 years with the Boeing Company at its Philadelphia site.

Hunt is a native of Philadelphia. He received a Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering from Spring Garden College in 1983 and received an Executive Master in Business Administration from Villanova University in 2007. Bill and his wife Norie have five children and two grand-children and are dedicated to actively supporting charitable causes. They reside in New Jersey.
