London Air Services chosen as AgustaWestland representative

March 14, 2011  By Carey Fredericks

March 14, 2011, Vancouver - AgustaWestland  is pleased to announce that London Air Services (LAS) of Vancouver has been appointed an AgustaWestland Independent Sales Representative for Canada.

This agreement represents one of the latest moves to further strengthen and expand AgustaWestland's position in North America.

Lou Bartolotta, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Sales, North America said “It gives us great pleasure to come to this sales representation agreement with such a leading operator who already successfully operates the AW139 in Canada. This latest step further strengthens AgustaWestland’s already well established partnership with LAS and we are confident that together, this will allow even greater and more significant development of new business opportunities to expand our presence and serve our customers in the Canadian market.”

AgustaWestland has been increasing its market share in the region and in Canada’s commercial helicopter market in recent years with strong sales for all its products. The AW119Ke single engine, the Grand light twin and the AW139 medium twin helicopter in particular have found success in Canada for various applications such as VIP/corporate transport, passenger shuttle services and aeromedical transport services.

LAS operates three AW139s as part of its air charter fleet in addition to business jets and it took delivery of the first AW139 equipped with the Full Ice Protection System (FIPS) in 2010, becoming the first AW139 operator to benefit from this system’s ability to allow all weather operations.
