July 17, 2014  By Carey Fredericks

July 17, 2014, Farnborough, U.K. - Pratt & Whitney Canada has signed a 12-year Fleet Management Program contract with the helicopter division of Lease Corporation International.

Under the terms of the contract, announced during the Farnborough Air Show, P&WC will provide engine support for the LCI fleet of Agusta Westland AW139 helicopters leased to operators worldwide.

The FMP Program’s Guaranteed Maintenance Cost Plan provides LCI and the operators who lease their helicopters with guaranteed long term engine maintenance cost protection for PT6C-67C engines powering the AW139. “We are delighted to sign this agreement and look forward to providing full support for this new fleet of AW139s,” said John Di Bert, P&WC’s Vice President, Customer Service. Michael Platt, CEO of LCI, added: “It has been a fruitful journey for both partners having now created new opportunities and access for even smaller operators to a full scale FMP Program; we are delighted to close this agreement today”.

P&WC’s FMP offers tailored predictability of engine maintenance costs and make it easier for customers to effectively manage their fleet of P&WC engines. A P&WC FMP team is appointed to provide all the essential coordination and support required to ensure customer satisfaction. More than 7,500 engines are currently enrolled in the company’s FMP or ESP pay per hour programs.
