September 28, 2010  By Carey Fredericks

Sept. 28, 2010, Fleetlands, U.K. - Vector Aerospace Corporation officially opened the 13th Annual Sea King Maintenance Symposium in Portsmouth this morning. Opening remarks came from Lieutenant-Colonel Ken MacKenzie of the Canadian Department of National Defence and Chairperson for the event Steering Committee, followed by Declan O’Shea, President and Chief Executive Officer for Vector Aerospace Corporation.

Vector Aerospace, as host of this year's Symposium, is pleased with the level of participation and support it has received for the event; one that includes more than 170 registered delegates representing a mix of military and commercial operators, vendors and support organisations from 14 countries around the world.

The International Sea King Maintenance Symposium is designed to provide a forum for military and civilian operators and equipment manufacturers to share information and ideas that assist in ensuring the continued successful operation of the international Sea King / S61 fleet for military and commercials operators. Now in its 13th year (the first year ever held off North American soil), the event continues to grow, with increased levels of interest and participation from a variety of key industry stakeholders.

This year’s sponsors and presenters include Vector Aerospace Corporation, Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, AgustaWestland, L-3, Pall Corporation, Safran (Sagem), IMP Aerospace, Rolls-Royce, GasTops, Rotair Industries, Becker Avionics and Universal Avionics.
