NAV CANADA rebrands conference and training centre

January 19, 2011  By Carey Fredericks

Jan. 19, 2011, Cornwall, Ont. - The NAV CENTRE - formerly known as the NAV CANADA Training and Conference Centre - is pleased to announce that its comprehensive conference and hospitality services will now be offered under a new name and modern logo.

The new name and logo were adopted to reflect significant enhancements to guest services that have occurred over the past few years, as well as the conference centre's commitment to customer service excellence.

"People used to know us mainly as a training facility," says Kim Coe-Turner, NAV CENTRE General Manager. "Now we provide full conference, meeting and accommodation services that offer an unbeatable combination of customer care and affordability."

Located on the scenic shores of the St. Lawrence River in Cornwall, the NAV CENTRE is a full service conference centre offering access to 560 guest rooms and 70 dedicated state-of-the-art meeting rooms and can accommodate small groups of 5 to large groups of up 500.

The NAV CENTRE conference and meeting services have evolved to cater to a diverse market. Its services make it a suitable venue for private, public and not-for-profit sector clients alike.

"Whether it is our renovated lobby, our new luxurious bedding, five star dinning options, or free use of audio-visual equipment, the NAV CENTRE has all the amenities one would expect from a full-service conference venue," says Coe-Turner. "We're also ahead of the curve in responding to the shift towards digital business communications."

The Centre's complimentary high-speed wireless network is accessible from almost everywhere on site and all guest rooms feature hardwire connections. Smartboards, LCD projectors and other equipment are available, along with translation and video-conferencing services; the 24-hour business centre provides print, photocopy and facsimile services.

In addition to these enhancements, the NAV CENTRE recently received Audubon International’s “four leaf” rating, in recognition of its strong commitment to environmental management and energy conservation.

"That's what the green in our new logo stands for our excellent environmental management as well as our scenic location, with plenty of green spaces. Red was selected because it is an impact colour and very modern. It reflects our commitment to make your event a stand-out success."

Guests of the centre benefit from a fully contained facility that offers access to customized dining and banquet options  including a 19th century heritage Stone House, a full gym and swimming pool, as well as plenty of interior and exterior common spaces.

"The NAV CENTRE offers an incredible number of flexible options for meetings and conferences," says Coe-Turner. "The only thing that's not optional is the attention to detail and client care that we extend to all groups, large or small."

The NAV CENTRE continues to be an ideal location for organizations with longer-term training requirements, with ample classroom space and affordable room and board plans to make your offsite training initiatives a success.

The NAV CENTRE is an accredited member of the International Association of Conference Centres (IACC), provided for adhering to globally-recognized standards in hospitality service.

"Take a look at what the NAV CENTRE has to offer, we think you'll be surprised by what we can do for your event."
