New general manager of DART Helicopter Services

Aug. 27, 2009,. Kent, WA — Steven E. Joseph has been named general manager of DART Helicopter Services (DHS), company President Jeff Shapiro announced this week.

Joseph will provide leadership and strategic direction to all aspects of DHS and its subsidiary companies, including Apical, Canam and Geneva Aviation. The newly created general manager position reports to Shapiro. Joseph previously served as president of Geneva, a premier provider of ENG design, integration and installation services.

In addition to his wide-ranging experience as a U.S. Marine Corps aviator and officer, Joseph has a master’s of science degree in aviation systems. As a commanding officer, he served as chief executive of the largest squadron at the Marine Corps’ busiest air station. His strong background also includes FAA certification management, product design and development, engineering and production management, and test and evaluation.

“Steve’s education and helicopter expertise, along with his proven leadership skills and focused experience, will benefit the entire DART organization,” Shapiro said. “Our focus on product innovation and growth will continue under Steve’s direction.”
