Appointments at Turbomeca

June 6, 2008, Bordes, France –  Following Pierre Fabre’s appointment as chairman and CEO, Turbomeca is bringing in changes to enhance customer focus in its organization. The following appointments are effective as of June 2, 2008.


    couteauxPhilippe Couteaux is appointed Vice President & General Manager, Airframers.
Philippe Couteaux is a graduate engineer from the Ecole Supérieure des
Travaux Publics and the Ecole Supérieure des Techniques Aérospatiales.
He joined Messier Bugatti, in the Group that has since become SAFRAN,
in 1987 as manager of new landing gear programs, going on to become
head of sales in the braking department. Later, based in the U.K., he
held the positions of VP, Marketing and VP, Sales and Programs in
Messier Dowty. From there, he joined Snecma Engines in 2000 as deputy
VP Testing and went on to become VP, development in the space engines
division. In 2003, he rose to the position of VP Programs for high
power engines with Snecma. It was in June 2006 that Philippe Couteaux
arrived in Turbomeca where, until now, he has been VP, Aero Engines. 
    desnoyerDidier Desnoyer is appointed Vice President & General Manager, Operators.
Didier Desnoyer is a graduate from the Toulouse-based Ecole Nationale
Supérieure de l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace, and holds a Master of
Sciences degree from the Université Laval (Canada), and an engineering
doctorate from the ONERA-CERT. He entered Turbomeca in 1992 beginning
his career in Aerospatiale and the Société Européenne de Propulsion.
Successively VP, Auxiliary Power Units programs and VP, Repairs, Didier
Desnoyer took up the position VP, Operator Support in 1997.
    dalbiesEric Dalbiès is appointed Vice President, Chairman’s office.
Eric Dalbiès is a graduate from the Ecole Polytechnique and the Ecole
Nationale Supérieure de l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace. He joined the
Group in 1992, entering the Société Européenne de Propulsion at Vernon
(now the Snecma Space Engines division). There, he held several
positions from systems studies engineer to engine pre-projects, up to
Snecma VP, Rocket Engine programs in 2005, with spells as program
engineering project manager for the HM7 engine and then VINCI. He
joined Turbomeca in 2005 where, until now he was VP Information
Systems.
    delangeLaurent Delange is appointed Vice President, Quality.
Laurent Delange, a graduate aeronautical engineer from the
Ecole Nationale Supérieure de l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace in
Toulouse, entered Turbomeca in 2006 to take the position of Group VP,
production quality. Before that, his career included spells with the
SEP at Vernon where he became head of the Dependability &
Reliability department in 1989, then with CALOR as plant manager and VP
Operations from 1995 to 1999, and finally with the SEB group as Group
VP, Quality from 1999 to 2006. 
    larrauriPhilippe Larrauri is appointed Vice President, Assembly and Repair Operations.
Philippe Larrauri holds an engineering degree from the Ecole supérieure
des travaux publics, supplemented by a specialised degree from the
Ecole supérieure de fonderie, and possesses a Master in Management. He
has developed three key competencies: industrialization, quality and
production systems in the course of his career with the Messier Foundry
from 1990 to 1997, Schlumberger from 1997 to 2001 and Valeo, the market
leader in automobile equipment manufacture from 2001 to 2004. Prior to
the present nomination, Philippe Larrauri held the post of VP, Quality
in Turbomeca since September 2004.
    mailleSerge Maillé is appointed Vice President, Customer Support and Sales.
Serge Maillé is a graduate engineer from the INSA, completed by a
propulsion specialization within the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de
l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace. After joining Turbomeca in 1983, he
occupied successively the functions of project technical engineer for
the RTM 322, until 1990, Turbomeca technical representative at
Marignane, until 1992, head of project technical support, head of
technical support department and, from 2005 onwards, head of customer
support piloting and technical and commercial assistance department.
    morvanPierre-Yves Morvan is appointed Vice President, Supply Chain, Purchasing and Information Systems.
Pierre-Yves Morvan holds an engineering degree from the Estaca and
entered Turbomeca in 1990 at Bordes, where he worked in the production
department until 1995. That year, he joined the Sofrance subsidiary
where he became head of the sales division in 1999. On January 1st
2002, he took on the post of head of the sales department in the
operator support division of Turbomeca at Tarnos. On December 1st 2004,
he assumed the position of VP, production in Bordes, Turbomeca’s head
offices. Since January 2006, he has been VP supply chain division
there.
