March 3, 2011 – Donaldson Aerospace & Defense, a division of Donaldson Company, Inc. (NYSE: DCI), is ready to clean up the helicopter industry with its first-ever Heli-Expo presentation on Inlet Barrier Filters for rotary wing operators.
The briefing, for helicopter operators large and small who want to increase fleet safety, reliability and efficiency, is scheduled for Sunday, March 6, at 10 a.m. in Room S.230-E of the Orange County Convention Center during the Helicopter Association International helicopter trade show in Orlando, Fla.
The 45-minute presentation will provide a comprehensive scientific and technical review of the most effective methods to protect vital helicopter operating systems from costly and damaging dust, dirt and contaminants that can reduce component life cycles and increase maintenance time and expense.
The discussion is designed for helicopter operators with all levels of experience in filtration system use, and will cover a wide range of topics, including filter types, how filters work and their operational advantages, current and developing technologies, the right applications for specific helicopter models and missions, maintenance issues and future design improvements.
Ample time will also be allotted for questions and answers. The session will feature product displays and demonstrations, case studies and plenty of technical data for anyone interested in expanding knowledge and understanding of important but often overlooked operational systems that can greatly improve flight safety, efficiency and economy.
Because seating for the session is limited, anyone interested in reserving a place in the Donaldson presentation should e-mail Tamara Sissom, Donaldson Aerospace & Defense, at
