life_bigJan. 3, 2008, Orleans, MA – Conklin & de Decker recently announced the new release of their innovative LIFE CYCLE COST 2008 Volume 1.  The most comprehensive and easy to use aircraft budget analysis tool available, LIFE CYCLE COST is part of a family of aircraft operating and acquisition data products developed by Conklin & de Decker.

LIFE CYCLE COST provides extensive ownership and operating cost data for more than 300 jets, turboprops, helicopters and piston aircraft.  Newly added aircraft in this 2008 edition include the Sierra Industries’ Citation models FJ44 Stallion, Eagle II, Super II, and Super SII, the Pilatus PC-12 Next Generation, the Agusta Westland AW119Ke helicopter, and the Cessna 172 Turbo Diesel.

The LIFE CYCLE COST budgeting software puts all aspects of owning and operating an aircraft into one easy to use program.  Aircraft acquisition costs, operating costs, taxes, the final residual value and even revenues, if it is in commercial operations, are all included in this updated budgeting tool.

Users can quickly choose different methods of acquisition (lease, finance, purchase, shared & fractional ownership), and then select the type of operation (corporate, commercial or managed).  Then there are eight different tax-depreciation schedules, including a user-defined schedule to choose from.  Based upon these user selections the spreadsheet populates with preloaded operating costs as researched by Conklin & de Decker. The preloaded data alone saves users numerous hours of research. The user can easily edit any of the pre-loaded costs and utilize the Budget Analysis Tool to display a 12-month summary of all costs and revenues making it simple to create an annual budget.

The Fractional database is free with the purchase of any other Life Cycle Cost database. A single aircraft version is also available.
