James and Dee Howard said “I do” and he took her as his lawful wedded wife at the back of Mt. Robie Reid just above Stave Lake near Mission on Boxing Day.
Helicopter student James Howard decided he wanted to get married to his girlfriend, Dee. After a little planning and waiting for the black flight suit to arrive he made it happen. The wedding took place on a snow-capped peak on Boxing Day at the back of Mt. Robie Reid just above Stave Lake near Mission at about 1,200 metres. She’s from Ireland and he’s from England and they couldn’t think of a grander place to get married than on a snowy mountain peak in B.C.
James, who’s training to become a helicopter pilot through B.C. Helicopters in Abbotsford, kind of chuckled when instructor Mischa Gelb suggested on a training flypast over breathtaking scenery that he and Dee get married in the backcountry. | READ MORE
