July 23, 2008, Farnborough, U.K. – Heroux-Devtek Inc. has announced
a letter of agreement with Bell Helicopter Textron to make major structural components for the new Bell 429 helicopter.

The agreement, running until 2015, has an estimated value of $57 million.

The Montreal-based maker of aerospace and industrial products will

According to CEO Gilles Labbe,“This first agreement with Bell
Helicopter for the aerostructure division further validates our
strategic decision to invest in highly automated state-of-the-art
equipment to expand our capacity for complex structural components and
subassemblies.''

Heroux-Devtek previously signed an $8-million deal running through 2011 to provide Bell 429 landing gear components.

The news came on July 16 from the Farnborough International Air Show
following Heroux-Devtek's announcement on the 15th that it has signed
its first contract with Embraer, providing the landing gear for the
Legacy 450 and 500 business jets being developed by the Brazilian plane
maker.

The value of that work was not disclosed.
