Mecaer Aviation brings Foster into the fold

August 5, 2015  By Mecaer Aviation Group

Mecaer Aviation Group, Inc. (MAG) has announced the expansion of its business development group and named Janie Foster as sales manager for Air Medical Systems in North America.

Janie brings 20 years of helicopter experience and knowledge to MAG along with an FAA Helicopter ATP rating.  Janie has held positions in flight operations, operational risk management, safety councils and various line pilot roles. Most recently Janie flew the AW139 for Era Helicopters in support of offshore crew changes and SAR/EMS missions in the Gulf of Mexico. Prior to Era, Janie flew utility and SAR/medevac missions in the Bell 212 and 412 in Alaska and Hawaii for Evergreen. She is also a member of The Whirly-Girls, Women in Aviation International, Helicopter Association International and Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.

Janie’s role within MAG is to expand the company’s presence in North America, specifically in the Air Medical, SAR and Airborne Law Enforcement segments.  Historically, MAG’s EMS systems have operated in Europe under EASA and the group is currently expanding in the United States and Canada.

“We are very excited to have Janie on our team,” said Armando Sassoli, co-general manager of Mecaer Aviation Group. “The addition of Janie to our business development team is one component of the larger plan to bring our already tested and proven EMS systems to North America,” Sassoli continued.

MAG’s EMS kits are currently EASA STC’d in the H145T2 and are utilized by EMS and SAR operators in Europe.  MAG is validating its STCs with the FAA and Transport Canada with plans to introduce similar systems on other platforms in 2015.
