U.S. senate passes key bill on UAS flights
The Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) applauds the U.S. Senate for passing the FAA bill conference agreement, following the House’s passage on Feb. 3 The bill now awaits President Obama’s signature before it becomes law. Once enacted, the bill starts the clock on a number of deadlines the FAA must meet to safely integrate unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) into the national airspace system.

Tragic death spurs questions about military SAR
Canada's chief of defence staff is investigating why it took military aircraft nearly two days to join the search for a lost Labrador boy who died as he walked over ice and snow. The 14-year-old boy was reported missing Sunday from the Labrador community of Makkovik.
