Ornge abandons plan to sell off AW139s

Ontario’s air ambulance agency has abandoned a proposed sell-off of its costly AW139 helicopters after the market for used choppers collapsed with the drop in oil prices.
The decision follows a review that began back in 2013 as officials at ORNGE looked at alternatives to the AgustaWestland helicopters, which guzzled fuel and were costly to maintain.
But ORNGE announced Wednesday that it was keeping its fleet of 10 AW139 helicopters after all. | READ MORE
