RCMP seeks new tips in helicopter arson

March 9, 2012, Menneval, N.B. - The RCMP is looking for new information 18 months after a fire that destroyed a spray helicopter in Menneval, in Restigouche County.
The helicopter had been contracted for herbicide spraying on Crown land in the Kedgwick area but was destroyed in August 2010.
Police have determined that the fire was deliberately set while the helicopter was on the ground and unoccupied. No one was hurt in the incident.
A reward of up to $12,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for setting the fire.
The reward includes up to $2,000 from Crime Stoppers and $10,000 donated by an anonymous private company.
