Aug. 15, 2008, Houston, Texas –
Here’s a reminder from The Hammonds Companies of Houston: Only four
more months remain in their first ever “Go ODV 2008 Give Away!” And
with the excitement generated for this promotion thus far, Carl
Hammonds wants to personally invite the ground support industry to get
on board and register to win this highly sought after prize.

The Hammonds Omni Directional Vehicle, known as the ODV, is the
innovative vehicle at the center of this popular contest. Hammonds,
long known for its innovative aviation product lineup, is also the
engineering mind behind the Omni Directional Vehicle.

Entries may be submitted online at both www.HammondsCos.com and
www.HammondsODV.com  or at any number of aviation industry trade shows
across the country in which the company will be participating this
year. A drawing will be held on Dec. 1, 2008, with winner notification
occurring on Dec. 15th.

“The Go ODV promotion is designed so that when industry personnel seeks
out their next ground support vehicle, they’ll give serious
consideration to the Hammonds Omni Directional Vehicle,” according to
Rick Richardson, VP of Sales and Marketing. “We’re encouraging everyone
to Go ODV!”

Of course, the ground support community already knows there’s no
turning back when it comes to using this equipment. That’s because the
Hammonds ODV is a state-of-the-art replacement for the standard
aircraft tractor. From a functional standpoint, the Hammonds ODV was
specially-designed to turn on a dime, eliminati`ng the need to look
backwards while driving forwards. Overall, “no turning back” appears to
represent the industry’s enthusiasm in having a “better mousetrap” in
airport ground support.

“The ODV allows the operator to move multiple ton aircraft into tight places, while turning on a dime,” adds Richardson.

According to company officials, the ODV represents the first truly
unique equipment engineering and design in the last fifty years,
replacing standard tow and towbarless aircraft tugs. Its simple round
design features the capability of rotating within the space it occupies
and moving in any direction at infinitely variable speeds. A radial
hitch allows the ODV to move freely about the entire circumference of
an aircraft.

Aside from easing the job of moving aircraft, The Hammonds ODV provides
added operator and aircraft safety by eliminating “over the shoulder”
driving. In fact, it allows the operator full view in any direction.

The Hammonds Companies are considered the aviation industry leader in
the innovative product design and engineering of both ground support
vehicles and fluid handling technology — from additive injector
systems to fuel additives.

Among its worldwide customer base, Hammonds is known for providing the
most efficient, affordable solutions to every customer problem.
