Rich Gross joins Metro Aviation as assistant director of operations

March 8, 2011 - Metro Aviation, Inc. has announced that Richard E. “Rich” Gross has recently been hired as the Assistant Director of Operations for the company.


March 8, 2011 – Metro Aviation, Inc. has announced that Richard E. “Rich” Gross has recently been hired as the Assistant Director of Operations for the company. Gross brings with him over twenty years in the helicopter business with extensive experience with air medical and law enforcement flight operations around the country.

Prior to joining Metro Aviation, Gross held positions as Senior Director of Sales for American Eurocopter and is also the former Director of Operations for STAT MedEvac. Gross was instrumental in initiating the FAR Part 135 air carrier certificate for the Center for Emergency Medicine STAT MedEvac air medical program based in Pittsburg, PA.

Company President and Owner, Mike Stanberry commented, “We’ve known and worked with Rich for many years and we’re excited to have his talent and experience here at Metro.”

Rich Gross holds an airline transport rating in helicopters, is a certified flight instructor and instrument instructor for helicopters in addition to an instrument and commercial airplane pilot.
